Strömbergin puistotie 1 C – Muottitie 1 · 10 130 m² · 1941–43

Today

NN today comprises about 10,130 m². The large continuous building suits warehousing, production, workshops and other operations that need substantial areas. There are also office spaces connected to the industrial parts.

Particularly suited to: warehousing, production, workshops.

History

NN is the first factory building on the site. Construction began in 1941, in the middle of the war. Shortages of labour and materials meant the factory was not completed until 1943 and was taken into use the following year. The building was placed low between the terrain formations and designed to be as discreet as possible from the air.

From the start, the factory volume was complemented with offices, staff facilities, a workshop and a warehouse. Over the decades the building has housed machining, sheet-metal work, painting, motor assembly and production of high-voltage equipment, among other things.
